The Itaipava GT Brasil , is a sports car racing series currently based in the Brazil. The series was created in 2007 by SRO Latin America, a company formed from the combination between the Stéphane Ratel and businessmen and pilots Antonio Hermann and Walter Derani, for the organization’s first GT3 Brasil Championship.

The first season was played in 2007, and the title was with the double Andreas Mattheis & Xandy Negrão, who flew a Dodge Viper. the duo repeated the conquest in 2008 but now with a Ford GT, in 2009 the pair left the championship, the title ended up with Rafael Derani and Claudio Ricci with a Ferrari F430.

In 2010 changed its name to Itaipava GT Brasil and now has the GT3 and GT4 classes. Category reaches new models like Corvette, Aston Martin, Maserati Gran Turismo and the brand new Ferrari F458. Besides that and made ​​the first test on a street circuit in conjunction with Indycar Series at the Autodromo anhembi.

2011 season Among the changes announced for the new season of Itaipava GT Brasil, points out the partnership between the companies sponsoring the category, the SRO Latin America, Auto + Entertainment, and Rede Bandeirantes.
