Mariah Carey will perform in Israel @ Rishon LeZion’s Live Park

OHMYGOSSIP — Mariah Carey, one of the most famous pop singers in the world, announced weeks after a quick, private visit to the Holy Land, that she will perform in Rishon LeZion’s Live Park on August 18.

The singer, who has sold more than 200 million records worldwide, is celebrated for her rare five-octave vocal range, and is currently performing a residency in Las Vegas.

The announcement came less than a month after Carey’s private visit to Israel, on which she was accompanied by her partner, Australian billionaire James Packer, and her two young twins.

“Shalom Israel, I will be coming to see you live on August 18, so come to see me! Shalom,” said Carey in a recording shown at a Tel Aviv press conference. Tickets went on sale Wednesday morning, said Ran Rahav, the Israeli public relations guru handling Carey’s concert.

The concert, which was arranged during Carey’s recent visit to Israel in late June, was fairly simple to arrange, said concert promoter Lia Luzon of Bookmark Entertainment.

Carey released her first album in 1990, winning two Grammy Awards for her first release. A quarter of a century later, her music still sells, and she has broken numerous records on the way.

This will be Carey’s first public performance in Israel.

Tickets are available through or by calling *2207.
(The price of entry to the concert will range from NIS 249 for lawn seats to NIS 399 for Golden Ring tickets and NIS 599-699 for seated VIP tickets.)
