NordenBladet —

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will deliver a video address to the Riigikogu (Parliament of Estonia) this Wednesday at 12 noon. Zelenskyy will speak immediately before Question Time of the Riigikogu, and the beginning of Question Time will be postponed.

President of the Riigikogu Jüri Ratas said that the Ukrainian troops and the Ukrainian people were showing extraordinary courage in the war against Russia’s aggression. “However, we must not forget that this is also a fight for the peace and values of the whole of Europe, and therefore we need to give Ukraine our full support,” he stated. “Estonia will continue to provide military, political, economic and humanitarian aid to Ukraine, and I acknowledge all people in Estonia who have helped Ukraine and the Ukrainians.”

On 21 March, Ruslan Stefanchuk, Chairman of the Parliament of Ukraine, gave a video address before the members of the Riigikogu. A week earlier, the Riigikogu had adopted the Communication in which it had expressed its support to the defenders and the people of Ukraine in their fight against the Russian Federation that had launched a criminal war against them, and called on showing absolute support to Ukraine in the war to maintain its freedom, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The video address, which begins at 12 noon, will be live streamed on the Riigikogu YouTube channel, on Facebook and on the Riigikogu web page.

The video recordings of the sittings of the Riigikogu can be viewed on the Riigikogu YouTube channel.
(Please note that the recordings will be uploaded with a delay.)
